Supporting steady growth:
Helping adults and young people to move through difficult times.
About Me: Tanya
I am a Clinical Psychologist who has been practicing in North Queensland for over 24 years. During this time I have worked with adults and young people in many different areas of psychology, including forensic mental health, sexual health, education, and general medical services. I have a passion for supporting young people from diverse backgrounds, inducing those with social disadvantage, problems accessing learning and education, and forensic issues reengage with education, families and communities. I have experience working with first nations peoples from across North Queensland and aim to create a culturally safe and respectful setting for all my clients, regardless of age, gender or cultural background.
I am passionate about supporting clients to move at their own pace toward personal growth and creating meaningful, lasting change.
My clinical practice provides opportunities for an individualised, flexible approach to therapy that blends traditional, evidence-based interventions and creative therapies based on personal goals and learning styles.
I am also passionate about the timely identification, diagnosis and interventions for young people with learning disabilities and other neurodevelopmental conditions, so they can have equal opportunities to learn and grow to their full potential, in ways that match their strengths.
Psychological Assessment: I have extensive experience in the neuropsychological assessment of intellectual, neuro-developmental, and learning disorders, including Dyslexia and ADHD for both young people and adults. I provide individualised Comprehensive Psychological Reports for schools, General Practitioners, and courts.
Therapy & Support I offer individual therapy for adults and young people. Sessions focus on understanding your experiences, developing practical strategies, and supporting long‑term wellbeing.
